On Tuesday, we were invited to an event in Stafford by the High Sheriff of Staffordshire, James Friend, in conjunction with The Community Foundation for Staffordshire.
There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of small charities within Staffordshire and we were fortunate to be one of the ten to be recognised by James for our work within the veterans and wider community.
We shared the event with some incredible likeminded people who also run amazing charities, so we congratulate the other nine charities recognised today too, including a good supporter of the Tri Services, Councilor Lillian Dodd who founded Symmetrical a charity supporting Care Leavers: well done to Lillian and her team.
The Reward and Recognition was twofold, a fantastic certificate and a cheque for a £1000, this will make an amazing difference to us to continue supporting veterans and their families.
A final very big thank you must go to James Friend The High Sheriff of Staffordshire.
A big thank you also goes out to all our volunteers and supporters who are part of our amazing journey helping veterans and the community. This award is for all of us, thank you all so much.
