On Thursday, we were delighted to be visited by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland The Rt Hon Brandon Lewis CBE MP and Jonathan Gullis MP, in addition to Councillors Gill Burnett and Jill Waring at our Veterans’ Retreat.
The Secretary of State spent approximately 45 minutes with us going through our plans for the retreat and speaking to several veterans who had served in Northern Ireland.
All in all, we think he was very impressed with our vision and the efforts put in by the volunteers to date.
