From all Staff at Tri Services and Veterans Support Centre we wish a Happy New Year to all.
2022 overall was a demanding year not just from our point of view but in general and for most, and not wishing to sound negative the upcoming year seems set to be the same. The basic cost of living financially continues to rise, placing a lot of people and families in crisis. Not to mention many have had to go into debt just to give their children a half decent Christmas and for which will cause difficult times in the next few months to pay off.
Enough negativity though and we are here to help Veterans and their families through these times and support them in anyway we can.
How can we help?
We have a Foodbank, and we maintained food parcel distribution through the holidays, (massive thank you to all the volunteers that helped) and thanks also to the generosity of many we have restocked in preparation for the new year. If you need help with anything from our Veterans Foodbank then please come in when we are open or contact us here.
We work very closely with other organisations to provide many services:
- Assistance with benefits and housing
- Wellbeing & Health
- Mental Health
- War Pensions
- Addiction

But we know also that in a lot of cases, to host this all under one roof helps and leads to a great social setting, we operate an open door policy when we are open. Simply pop in and say hello, sit down have a brew with us and we often provide a hot lunch free to Veterans and their families, (including reservists). You will get the typical banter and enjoy a good laugh, which we know goes a long way. But more importantly you will feel relaxed, comfortable and made to feel welcome from the outset. A brotherhood which most Veterans miss so much once they leave the forces.
We are excited about the new year as we have taken on new specialist staff to help with the running of the Charity.
We look forward to seeing you in the New Year
